By browsing this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site.

Products and pricing

We describe things as accurately as we can

We write product descriptions, dimensions and materials as accurately as we can. Colours can look different from screen to screen, so a finish may read slightly warmer or cooler in person.

All prices are in US dollars and may change at any time. Prices shown at checkout are the ones that apply to your order.

If a price or description contains a clear error, we may correct it. Where an order has already been placed at an obviously mistaken price, we will cancel the order and refund you in full rather than fulfil it.

Orders

An order is an offer to buy

Placing an order is an offer to buy, which we accept when we ship the item. Until then we may decline or cancel an order — for example if an item is unavailable, if we can’t verify the payment or delivery details, or if we suspect fraud.

If we cancel an order after you’ve paid, we refund the full amount. We may also limit the quantity of any item per order or per customer.

Shipping and delivery

Estimates, not guarantees

We ship to addresses in the United States. Full rates and timing are on our shipping page. Delivery dates shown on product pages or in email are estimates based on typical carrier performance — they are not guarantees, and carrier delays are outside our control. Risk of loss or damage passes to you on delivery.

Returns and refunds

30 days, unused and in original packaging

Most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery if unused and in their original packaging. The conditions, exclusions and process are set out on our returns page.

Payment

Processed by Shopify

Checkout and payment are handled by Shopify. We never see or store your full card details. Your payment is also subject to the terms of the payment provider you choose at checkout.

Intellectual property

Site content belongs to us or our suppliers

The text, layout, photography and other content on this site belong to Modern Dwella or to the suppliers who provided them. Please don’t copy, republish or use it commercially without written permission.

Acceptable use

Use the site as intended

Don’t use this site for fraud, don’t scrape or bulk-download our content or images, don’t buy for resale without our agreement, and don’t attempt to interfere with, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems.

Disclaimer and liability

Provided as is, to the extent the law allows

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and the products sold through it are provided “as is”, without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, and any dispute will be handled by the courts located there.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time of your order is the one that applies to it. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
